John O’Gorman Menswear is a third generation family owned and run business, located in the heart of Clonmel Co. Tipperary. Patrick O’Gorman founded the family business as “Gents Outfitters” in 1922. The shop offered quality men’s clothing along with a reputation for personal service. In 1941 his son Jack joined him at a young age and played a unique role in running the business for 66 years. Jack’s son John now runs the business today. As the business nears 100 years trading, the same values of offering quality clothing along with a reputation for personal service still exists today.

Our Shop

John O’Gorman Menswear has now become a destination store stocking international brands such as Gant, Barbour, Strellson, Dressler, Eton, Etrena, Alan Paine and Loake. We have one of the largest selection of Gant clothing, being one of the first Irish stores to stock the brand in 1987. All our suits are canvas lined which means they are hand finished. The fitting is of a superior finish to a standard suit. We welcome appointments where customers can avail the privacy of our showroom, where attention to detail and customer service are paramount.
